Aqui Es Santa Fe, a Colombian restaurant in Port Chester located at 32 Broad St., will have its last day in business on Sunday, Nov. 10, owner Olga Santos announced on social media.

Although Santos did not specify a reason for the closure, she thanked those who stopped by over the 17 years that the eatery was open:

"We want to thank each person who sat at our table and became part of our family...What started as a dream became one of the greatest joys and blessings of our lives."

If you plan on stopping by before the place is gone, menu items include charcoal-grilled skirt steak; chicken served with mango or gorgonzola sauce; pan-seared wild salmon served on top of a bed of sweet plantains; and freshly hand-cut plantain chips with homemade guacamole.

The restaurant also specializes in mint, guava strawberry, mango pineapple, and PomRose sangria.

After the eatery announced its upcoming demise on Instagram, the shocked comments came pouring in:

"No!! You are such a wonderful part of the Port Chester community," wrote one commenter, who added, "Your empanadas are legendary and we will surely come to order as many as we can before you close your doors."

"Heartbroken!" said another, also writing, "The food and service has always been outstanding."

The closure is also a loss for Daily Voice—Aqui Es Santa Fe was the site of one of the company's first gatherings when it relaunched under new management in 2018.
